On September 5th, our Global MBA participants launched into their first leadership development challenge with enthusiasm through the "Toward Responsible Innovation" consulting mission.
The project this year is titled "Make the Red List a well-known & long-term sustainable product ”. Established in 1964, the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species has evolved to become the world’s most comprehensive information source on the global extinction risk status of animal, fungus, and plant species. Thanks to engaging presentations from Professor Xavier Pavie, as well as Paola Geremicca and Patrick Reybet-Degat from the IUCN, the participants were fully immersed in their mission to tackle pressing environmental issues.
This four-month consulting project will allow participants to acquire new skills and knowledge while working on a living case study focused on responsible innovation. It aims to boost Red List’s financial sustainability, strengthen partnerships through mutual benefits, introduce radical innovations for conservation, and expand brand awareness to further amplify the Red List's global influence.
The experience focuses on three main aspects:
-
Real-World Problem Solving: Participants will collaborate with Red List for four months to solve real-world sustainability challenges, applying their learning to make meaningful impacts.
-
Learning by Doing: The hands-on nature of the project demands deep involvement and self-direction, encouraging participants to take the lead in problem-solving.
-
Building a Foundation of Responsibility: Through coursework on innovation and responsibility, participants gain the necessary understanding to address sustainability issues and apply these concepts throughout their consulting mission.
We are thrilled about this exciting collaboration with Red List and look forward to supporting our participants on their sustainability journey over the coming months. We wish them success in this vital project aimed at shaping a better future.
