ESSEC Business School and UCLA School of Law launch a dual degree in law and management

10.10.2024

ESSEC Business School and UCLA School of Law are delighted to announce the launch of a dual degree in law and management. This international program is aligned with the goal of both institutions to offer students multidisciplinary career paths, preparing them to meet the complex challenges of tomorrow.

This dual degree is open to students in ESSEC's Master in Management (MiM) program, specializing in law, and in the MS Droit des Affaires Internationales et Management (International Business Law and Management - MS DAIM) program. At UCLA, the program is open to LLM students. On completion of this program, students will receive the MiM or MS DAIM diploma from ESSEC and the LL.M. from UCLA School of Law.

Students can begin at either ESSEC or at the UCLA School of Law. ESSEC students starting their MiM in France may complete their second academic year at UCLA School of Law, and ESSEC MS DAIM students will take an additional academic year. Students who have already completed the UCLA School of Law's one-year LLM program can then join ESSEC’s MiM program in its second year and complete core management courses at ESSEC.

Multidisciplinary training from two prestigious institutions

This dual degree will enable students to benefit from the academic rigor and excellence of both institutions and to obtain two degrees.

UCLA offers a wide range of specializations, including business law, environmental law, human rights, technology law and public interest law. ESSEC offers multidisciplinary business education designed to train responsible leaders.

We are thrilled to establish a partnership that will help facilitate students earning their LLM degree at UCLA Law in coordination with their studies at ESSEC.  The excellent students from ESSEC will be a very valuable addition to our LLM program, which typically brings 200 students from more than 40 countries to Los Angeles each year to be immersed in American legal education."
