Introducing the ESSEC Hybrid Executive MBA: A flexible program for global professionals

10.10.2024

ESSEC Business School is launching the ESSEC Hybrid Executive MBA, a new addition to its MBA portfolio. This program blends online and in-person learning, offering flexibility to professionals around the world.

A flexible format for international professionals

The program boasts of an executive-friendly schedule designed to deliver all the benefits of a traditional in-person EMBA while offering increased flexibility.

Seventy percent of the program takes place online and 30% in-person. This means professionals are only out of their office 20 days over 18 months. Thanks to this optimized schedule, EMBA participants can advance their careers without compromising their current responsibilities.

Excellence in a digital format

The program preserves the essential elements of the traditional ESSEC EMBA: collaborative learning, leadership development, a multicultural focus, and a global perspective. Participants engage in group projects such as the Strategic Project, the Social Class Project (a class-wide project focusing on a social or environmental issue) and the two-day Leadership Seminar, which challenge them to think differently and develop innovative, responsible solutions to real-world problems.

The program leverages the ESSEC Online platform, with videos and other digital resources, to facilitate a connected and interactive learning experience.  While the digital portion of the program fosters interaction across time zones, the key in-person residencies in Paris, Cape Town, and Hong Kong provide cross-cultural business perspectives, global networking opportunities, and real-world business insights.

A strong focus on sustainability

True to ESSEC’s values, the new Hybrid EMBA will train leaders that have a positive impact on the world. To that end, sustainability considerations are integrated into the program’s curriculum, the Social Class Project and the international residency in Cape Town.

“This new format aims to meet leaders’ needs, both in terms of increased flexibility to balance participants’ professional lives with academic excellence and in terms of content that addresses major societal challenges and prepares participants to be responsible leaders,” said Julien Malaurent, Dean for Post-Experience Programs and Corporate Relations.

The Hybrid EMBA promises to take you on a journey of personal growth and professional transformation,” said Steven Seggie, Academic Director of the ESSEC EMBA program. “Participants will learn to navigate the complexities of today’s business landscape and shape the future of global leadership, in a format that opens ESSEC’s doors to leaders all over the world.”

Courses are offered in English, with the first intake in June 2025.  For more information about the ESSEC Hybrid Executive MBA, visit the program website.
