Organized by ESSEC Business School, Asia-Pacific in collaboration with Alliance Francaise and the French Embassy in Brunei, the talk on "Understanding the Islamic Marketing Environment" led by Prof. Cedomir Nestorovic will be held on Tuesday, 8 November 2016 in Brunei Darussalam.

Brunei Minister of Education Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman will be gracing the event as the guest-of-honour.

Abstract

The current Islamic marketing environment poses a certain number of unique challenges because the Muslim world is extremely diverse in terms of economic development, customs and traditions and political and legal systems. It is, therefore, vital for companies and marketers to analyze the environment before attempting to address these markets. This talk aims to address the unique features of different sectors in the Muslim market, to bring you a better understanding of doing business in the Muslim world.

About the Speaker

Prof. Cedomir NESTOROVIC is Professor of International Marketing and Geopolitics at ESSEC Business School, he is also the Director of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA Asia-Pacific. He has taught at ESSEC Business School for more than 15 years and is also the Academic Co-Director of the MBA program at the Arabian Gulf University, Manama, Bahrain. Professor Nestorovic’s research interests include the Geopolitics of Central and Oriental European countries; International Marketing and Commerce, and Islamic Business and Management. He was awarded the title of “Professor of the Week” by The Financial Times in 2012.
