Sports Chair
The ESSEC Sports Chair trains future leaders in sports business and provides them with an understanding of sport as a complex global industry with multiple stakeholders, and of current trends such as new funding models, digital, and e-sports.
It aims to develop future leaders across different industries through “lessons learned” from sport, ranging from the development of individual strengths and values to the effective leadership of groups and teams.
“The ESSEC Sports Chair provides a unique, internationally oriented set of courses with a focus on professional practice, and it offers integrated learning experiences co-created with stakeholders in the sports ecosystem. Chair students do not only “consume” knowledge through courses, they also actively create applied knowledge that has the potential to create real impact in the sports ecosystem.”

ESSEC has an extensive alumni network in the sports ecosystem thanks to its former Sport Marketing Chair. ESSEC alumni are employed by major companies in the sports industry, by clubs, and by sports federations, working in areas ranging from sports marketing and data analytics to Esports. The ESSEC Sports Chair connects students to these alumni.
