7th Alumni Career Forum held in Shanghai on 7 November 2015

Organized by the Group of École Centrales, ESSEC Business School and EDHEC Business School, the 7th Alumni Career Forum was held on 7 November 2015 at the Hilton Shanghai in China.

Attracting approximately 200 international profiles, Chinese speaking students and graduates, the co-branded Shanghai Career Fair provided a facilitative platform for Chinese and French students and graduates to exchange on job, VIE and internship offers in China, with operational and human resources managers from participating companies.

Companies present at the fair included Advancy, Capgemini Consulting, Clarins Group, Michelin, Plastic Omnium, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Rocket Internet, Sinodis, Smart AdServer and Thales.

The Career Forum was followed by a Roundtable on “International Careers for the Chinese-French double-degree graduates” moderated by Mr. Jean-Francois Corraze, ESSEC Alumnus, Supply Chain Manager, Asia, Plastic Omnium.

9 Panelists including ESSEC Alumni Mr. Alexis Calvet, Business Unit Director, Food Services at SINODIS, and Mr. Xu Bo, Senior Relational Marketing Executive at Gucci China, shared examples on their career changes and paths, and have illustrated that “being connected to people, being flexible and being able to adapt are key soft skills that everyone needs to nurture and develop throughout their career”.

The Forum was a great success, and was successfully concluded with a reception with the alumni from participating schools.
