These hubs will bring together local alumni communities and raise ESSEC’s profile in the United States and the United Kingdom. They will also host students on study trips who would like to better understand the economic environment and access professional opportunities offered by these major cities.
Additionally, the hubs will support student recruitment and the development of a multicultural student experience. They will create links with local universities to boost student mobility, strengthen relationships, and develop new dual degree programs.
The New York City Hub will promote ESSEC in North America
With the launch of the hub in New York, ESSEC aims to achieve several strategic goals. First, strengthening ESSEC’s influence in North America by increased participation in the business school ecosystem in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Professional development is at the heart of the mission of the New York City Hub: it will facilitate students’ access to internships and jobs in key sectors.
The hub will also play a major role in energizing alumni communities, with 1500 members between New York, Montreal and Toronto. The development of academic collaborations will offer students international opportunities. Students will have access to enriching experiences in North America via dual degree partnerships like those recently signed with Smith School of Business at Queen’s University for the Global BBA and with UCLA School of Law in the United States for the MiM and MS DAIM programs.
ESSEC is growing its London activity to support its academic and professional ambitions
ESSEC has had a presence in London since 2017 and is now transitioning its office to a true academic and professional hub, making ESSEC more prominent and strengthening its partnerships in London. London is the second biggest global financial center after New York according to the Global Financial Index 2023, and attracts students and new graduates thanks to the diverse opportunities available. With 1600 alumni working in key sectors, London has become an indispensable location for ESSEC, both academically and professionally.
One of the priorities of the hub will be to create and launch a London curriculum for students who wish to benefit from the city’s professional opportunities. By creating links with prestigious universities and the local business ecosystem, the hub will support the ESSEC community in developing strong connections.
Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean and President: “The London and New York Hubs will be true ESSEC embassies in North America and the UK, bringing together, supporting and promoting our ever-growing alumni communities. We see that our students are increasingly attracted to these very diverse and innovative cities; I am convinced that hubs will be key players in the successful realization of our new Strategic Plan on a global scale.”
Matthew Gibb, Director of International Relations : “These and future international hubs will be the instruments through which ESSEC will deploy its international strategy, and in doing so consolidate our position amongst the best globally impactful business schools creating a truly comprehensive and multicultural experience for our students and graduates.”
