The Versailles experience in Singapore: ESSEC Business School and the Château de Versailles, have partnered to present the first virtual exploration of the Palace of Versailles; Virtually Versailles.

The “Virtually Versailles” experience was born out of the desire to promote French culture, heritage and expertise to audiences around the world, in particular, Asia. As part of the France-Singapore Year of Innovation, the exhibition will be held in Singapore at the Ion Orchard mall.

"Virtually Versailles" is the first virtual exhibition that allows participants to take an immersive journey of the Palace of Versailles. With the support of the Michelin Corporate Foundation, the Orange Foundation and Google Cultural Institute, visitors can virtually tour the palace and its grounds through the most innovative digital technology.

This unique experience aims to immerse an unfamiliar audience in the Versailles universe through a visit to its iconic places and to key moments in its history. The exhibition is organized by certain categories:

  • The Splendor of Versailles

  • Focus on the Masterpieces at Versailles

  • Versailles and Nature

  • A Closer Look at Versailles from the Trianon Estate

  • Innovation at Versailles

Drawing on the expertise of the ESSEC Asia-Pacific campus in Singapore, ESSEC will host two conferences during the duration of the exhibition:

  • November 30: Managing Heritage & Exceptional Savoir-faire in a Modern and Digital Era moderated by Professor Simon Nyeck

  • December 11: Heritage and Innovation moderated by Professor Xavier Pavie

Although the exhibition will begin in Singapore, the aim is to install the exhibit in other cities across Asia such as Shanghai, Hong Kong and New Dehli.

The exhibition will be open from November 29, 2018 to January 6, 2019.
