True to its purpose of shaping the responsible hospitality leaders of tomorrow and encouraging global economic and social change, ESSEC Business School is proud to launch a new track of its Msc in Hospitality Management (IMHI). This new track of a well-established and globally-renowned program is designed for experienced hospitality professionals and helps these professionals and the companies which they represent face the challenges that have grown since the start of the pandemic.
With 40 years of expertise, ESSEC’s Msc in Hospitality Management (IMHI) is a transformative experience for hospitality professionals looking to boost their career. The program benefits from a strong alumni network of over 1,700 graduates from over 60 countries all over the world and a proven track record of committed corporate partnerships, such as with the JLL Group. It also offers tailor-made Talent Center activities such as workshops on personal branding, career fairs and many networking opportunities.
The new one-year program is aimed at hospitality professionals with significant experience. While the two-year track is intended for younger professionals with up to two years of industry experience, the one-year option is destined for seasoned professionals looking to boost their career in the hospitality industry or to make a career change through a shorter, more intensive higher education experience.
What sets the IMHI programs apart? According to Johanna Wagner, Corporate Executive Associate for the IMHI Program:
In a fast-changing business world, a mix of soft and hard skills allows hospitality managers to reinvent their approach of people management, value creation and guest service. At IMHI, the course offer, Talent Center activities and other extracurricular activities make it possible for experienced hospitality professionals to focus on these very skills.
The IMHI one-year track is an intensive 11-month program designed for candidates with 5 years of professional experience or more, from 26 years of age, and with a prior business degree or equivalent. In the words of Academic Director Carlos Ramirez, the new one-year program:
This new track will enable more seasoned hospitality professionals to fast-track their career in the hospitality industry or to make a career change through a shorter, more intensive program.
From an academic perspective, the program offers six concentrations that reflect the latest industry challenges and trends, such as Real Estate, Sustainability, or Luxury. Participants also have the opportunity to work on a consultancy project that requires them to act as consultants for an established hospitality business, highlighting the approach of “learning by doing,” a key ingredient in all ESSEC Business School programs.
Summing up the value of these dual IMHI programs, Program Director Kentia Boulay explains:
With these two tracks, our ambition is to provide talented hospitality professionals with new opportunities to succeed, be responsible leaders and create value at a global scale in tomorrow’s hospitality businesses, at various moments in their career.
