ESSEC Business School has appointed Professor Felix Papier as Dean of Academic Programs. In his new function, he will serve as the Director of the Master in Management program and will accompany the directors of the other programs in establishing and attaining their objectives.
As the new Dean of Academic Programs, Felix Papier succeeds Professor Anne-Claire Pache who has held the position since 2014. Within his new role and in close collaboration with ESSEC’s Dean and President, Felix Papier will hold a seat on the school’s executive board and will be responsible for the management and development of the complete portfolio of academic programs, including the Global BBA, the Master in Management, the Specialized Masters and the Global MBA.
Felix Papier is a Professor in the Operations Management department and has been at ESSEC since 2010. His research interests include operations strategy, supply chain information sharing, and sustainable operations. He has published in several academic journals such as Operations Research and Harvard Business Review Germany and regularly presents his research at international conferences in Europe, Asia and the United States. Felix Papier holds a Master of Science degree in information systems and a PhD in operations management. He completed part of his graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago and at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
Before joining ESSEC, Felix Papier worked for several years as a strategy and operations management consultant for McKinsey & Company. He fulfilled a number of missions related to strategy development, purchasing management, and supply chain management for international clients in the automotive, pharmaceutical and agri-food industries.
Felix Papier will be replaced in his former role as Academic Director of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA by Ivana Ljubic, Professor in the Information Systems, Decision Sciences and Statistics Department.
