On April 13th, as part of Transition Week, Career Services, in collaboration with the student association Noise ESSEC, organized the Forum des métiers à impact, which brought together companies, associations and NGOs in the field of sustainable development. This event gave students who want to specialize in this field or who are still reflecting on their professional project the opportunity to discuss their career plans with committed companies.
Noise ESSEC is an association that promotes social and solidarity entrepreneurship and sustainable development within ESSEC. This association is present in 10 Grandes Écoles and brings together nearly 80 students active in raising awareness and highlighting social and environmental issues.
The companies and associations that were present at the Forum des métiers à impact offer a variety of projects with initiatives such as fighting against social exclusion or isolation, raising awareness of the ecological transition or reconditioning electronic devices.
Some companies from Antropia ESSEC also participated in the Forum. Created in 2008 by the ESSEC Innovation Chair for Entrepreneurship and Impact, Antropia ESSEC's purpose is to provide concrete support to social entrepreneurs who create and develop projects useful to society and the environment through virtuous and economically sustainable solutions.
This event has a particular significance because it is in line with one of the pillars of the RISE strategy named Together that ESSEC has been implementing since January 2020. This social, societal and environmental approach has generated several initiatives such as the goal of reducing single-use plastic, classes on climate issues and a diversity mural.
