In partnership with ESSEC Business School, Live with AI (LWAI) members and students from the International Business Education Alliance (IBEA) program conducted research to assess AI’s positive impact on health, transportation, finance and the environment. They looked at major societal changes including ageing populations, new human-machine interfaces, content overload, rapid urbanization, social divide, and natural resources overuse, with a view to proposing actionable insights. “Artificial Intelligence offers an opportunity for us to innovate like never before, to create new value not only for our organizations but, more importantly, for society at large. Specifically, I believe that new AI technologies should be designed to help innovators gain new insights into identifying the right kind of problems to be pursued by innovators, and in so doing, create new value for each and every individual in an organization, a community, and throughout society,” said Prof. Kevyn Yong, Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific.
During VIVATECHNOLOGY 2018 Paris, at the Singapore session, and united in their shared belief that AI can create positive social and economic changes while contributing to human development, Live with AI members have released a report officially handed over to Steve LEONARD, founder CEO SGInnovate in presence of Minister S. ISWARAN (Singapore). It emphasizes in particular: the importance of a transparent interaction between Humans and Machines, the urgency to research AI new solutions that could protect and strengthen our human cognitive capacities instead of affecting them, the need to implement AI-driven banking services accessible to all to better plan their finance and future, the role CSR strategy may have in leading advanced manufacturing automation, in addition to innovative civics education and lifelong training models, or new metrics to better evaluate AI benefits to our society.
The report is downloadable at www.livewithai.org. This report captures 14 ideas, points of view and recommendations, so as to initiate discussions and actions to better live with AI.
