How do French students perceive digital technology in their lives and in their city?

Carried out by the ESSEC Chair Real Estate and Sustainable Development, under the direction of Professor Ingrid Nappi-Choulet, this new study reveals how 1000 French students perceive digital technology in their lives and in their city. The survey was conducted online by Harris Interactive from July 9-22, 2015.

Three major lessons emerge from this survey:

  • Students have an ambivalent relationship with the digital world.
  • Medium-sized towns and city centers have a renewed attractiveness for them.
  • France is still where they want to live and work, contrary to the prevalent idea that they’re looking for international experiences.
