The Entrepreneurial Project is an interdisciplinary capstone project that calls for participants to apply the content studied throughout the program.
It challenges participants to think critically about real luxury business problems within the framework of a small team. The project requires each participant to exercise creativity, rigor, and perseverance in applying program principles (in areas including strategy, operations, finance, HR, marketing, control, sales, technology management and content development) and hands-on experience to a real-world problem facing luxury markets and to develop effective solutions. Participants emerge ready to create their own companies or become stronger and more internationally-oriented business leaders.

Ashok Som is full-Professor of the Management Department at ESSEC Business School. He is one of the pioneering thought leaders in designing organizations and an expert in global strategy. He is author of more than 110 cases, articles and books, such as The Road to Luxury: The New Frontiers in Luxury Brand Management (Wiley 2021, 2nd Edition; translated in Mandarin in 2023), The Road to Luxury: The Evolution, Markets and Strategies of Luxury Brand Management (Wiley, 2015, translated in Mandarin in 2016), and more. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad and Habilation from CY University, Paris.
