Academic Director of the LEAD Advanced Management Program

Julien Malaurent is the Dean of Post Experience Programs and Corporate Relations at ESSEC Business School and a Professor in the IDS department. He is Academic Director of ESSEC Online programs and co-Director of ESSEC Metalab. His research focuses on digital transformation, multicultural work practices, and the societal impact of digital ubiquity, emphasizing reflexivity in qualitative methods.

Jérôme Barthélémy

Professor of Strategy

Jérôme Barthélemy is a professor of strategy and management and former executive vice-president at ESSEC Business School. Currently a visiting professor at École Polytechnique, his research has appeared in top journals like Harvard Business Review. Author of Myths of Strategy (2022) and Libérer la compétitivité (2016), he holds a Ph.D. from HEC Paris and has taught at NYU, Stanford, and Cambridge.

Junko Takagi is a professor at ESSEC Management, and is in charge of all team building, leadership and group dynamics activities. She holds a PhD from Stanford University and her research focuses on diversity, its profound meaning and the implications of its different senses in France and the Anglo-Saxon countries.

Laurent Bibard

Professor of Philosophy and Management

Laurent Bibard teaches Philosophy and Management within all ESSEC programs. Holder of a PhD in Socio-economics of Technical Change (ENSMP-EHESS) from MINES Paris Tech, his research focuses on ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, etc. He is also a consultant to companies in the industrial, health and energy sectors as well as to public institutions.

Fabrice Cavarretta
Fabrice Cavarretta

Professor of Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Fabrice Cavarretta is a professor of leadership and entrepreneurship at ESSEC. Graduated from Polythéchnique, he holds a Doctorate in Management from INSEAD, and he has published his research on managerial and entrepreneurial logics in numerous journals. He is also the author of the book "Oui, la France est un paradis pour entrepreneurs" (Plon, 2016).
